MIFC @ Putrajaya

Who invented fireworks? He must be the greatest man in the world for inventing such a fascinating thing.

Went to the Malaysian International Firework Competition Grand Finale (MIFC) @ Putrajaya last Friday. The fireworks are super awesome! *thumbs up*

So let's just have a look at the pictures captured by our photographer, Richard Cheong.

Nah~ These are not captured by me. Do you think my 3.2mp camera phone can do this? Dream on~

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No doubt, the fireworks are awesome. But do you know how much we need to sacrifice just for the 20 minutes show? I'm not exaggerating. We departed at 2.30pm while the show started at 10pm. Imagine!! We arrived at Putrajaya at around 4pm. It was my first time there so was kinda excited. Laugh. First, we go loiter around in Alamanda Putrajaya before headed to Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), which is the venue of the firework competition.

Now, we were lying on the grass slope, like what the foreigners will do but not the locals. =) Look enjoying? No.. Not at all!! A lot of ants were biting me! Ishh~

Finally, it's getting dark already.

Putrajaya look very different at day and night.

Happy.Merdeka =)

Merdeka!! Merdeka!! Merdeka!!

It's 31st August, Malaysia's National Day.

malaysia_flag

The Malay children at Danau Kota are so enjoying themselves. They shouted Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! at 12am sharp. Few days ago I even heard them singing " Tanggal 31, bulan lapan 57.." Haha. A very familiar patriotic song that we used to sing during secondary.

Don't really have the mood to celebrate Merdeka Day as I'm now very very sick with the coming final exam. Sigh.

However, as a good citizen, a Malaysian, I just can't miss a chance to wish our country Happy Birthday! Happy Independence!! XD XD

Malaysia BOLEH!!!!

Biochemistry the killer!!!

I am not a fans of teddy bears and soft toys. Somehow, I have quite a number of them sitting beside my bed every night. Most of them are given by my friends as birthday present.

So, the most gigantic one is this.

     DSC04543

It's very huge. Really. Gift from the TeFourz as my 19th birthday present. Bear bear is one year old already. ^^

DSC04558

     Giant bear bear.

------------------------------------------------------------------

So, why am I writing all these? Because I'm too bored. I'm not in the mood to study. All those metabolic pathways are just going to kill me sooner or later. *faints*

I want drama!! Moonlight Resonance please!! One episode a day can no longer satisfy me. T.T

Watched Prom Night yesterday, all alone. Not in the cinema but at home, in my bed. I screamed like 'pig-kena- slaughter', got scared by the murderer who appear in a sudden. I screamed so loud, until my housemates who are studying in the living room (wearing earphone) could hear my scream. Omg. Got so loud meh? *blush*

Going to Putrajaya on Friday for MIFC. Looking forword.

So, it's time to pick up my notes again. Bye.

My Birthday Celebration

I think I should blog a bit about my birthday and the sweet pressie that I recieved. =)

So, here it goes..

----

---------------

-------------------------

--------------------------------------

DSC04492

It was another mid-night birthday celebration by the TeFourz. They bought me a cake, sang me a birthday song and spoil the cake in front of me. Was quite surprise actually, because the next day, all of us are having lab test, but it seemed that most of us didn't concern that too much. Haha.. Written on the birthday cake that they bought me, "You are one year OLDER!!!" Laugh. I know I'm one year older already. You guys don't have to keep on reminding me. Anyway, thanks guys for the cake and the pressie. Very sweet of you all. =)

DSC04493

They tried to cake me while I was biting the candle from the cake. But not very successful, I would say, as I am extremely careful. Muahaha~

      DSC04502

This is me and dearest Appa~ Laugh.

Coming up next is the family portrait.

DSC04496

:: Me * Omma * Appa ::

DSC04498

:: Me * Omma * Appa + Mui Mui ::

DSC04511

They gave me this as pressie, which I have got no idea why? It's a perfume from Body Shop. Maybe they think that I'm too boyish and need to add some feminine element to me. Lol.

Besides that,

DSC04598

Thanks MinZhin for the pressie too. Hehe~

DSC04603

Everything was in a mess when I finally managed to get that little fella out of the box.

DSC04599

:: A solar-powered Deco, Thanks =) ::

Not to forget this one also,

assessment.

:: Designed by Jess. Owwhh.. So sweet ::

I though she have forgotten my birthday, almost get mad at her. But she was the last one to give me surprise. Big surprise. She sent the thing to me and told me that it's her assessment and asked me for some opinion. The moment I opened the file, I knew that was for me.. Thanks oo~

DSC04607

:: Pressie from Darling Sherril ::

DSC04609

It's a photo frame, with my name on it. So it's MY photo frame!! Very nice. Like it!

DSC04612

Unexpectedly, Chendy and Kai bought me a cute cake from Pistachios. Thank you thank you. ^^

DSC04618

DSC04616

Feel so good cause me alone finish up the cake!! Muahaha

Thanks to everyone who wish me Happy Birthday.

Thanks darling Jhu for the MMS, thanks darling Sherril, Shyuan, Kai, Chendy, Thong, Liangz, Ce-yan, Zz yang, Richard, Ian, Jie Hong, Siennie, Ning, and Felicia. =)

Last but not least, thanks to Boon Leong for the call. That's very sweet. *bliss* Remember you still owe me a belated birthday celebration ya. Will claim from you after finals. *winks*

That's why I love 25th August. Because it's my birthday~ *winks*

Marching into finals

0fb081104f3f51ecc3ce791e Enough of fun and enjoyment. I need to get back to work immediately. Finals' approaching!!! Look at the piles of notes, they are inches thick and I need to squeeze them all into my tiny brain. Sigh. I wanna cry liao.

I started off with Biochemistry this morning. But, sad case, after studying not even 2 page of the lecture notes, I fell asleep. Omg. Any good way to keep me awake while studying?

Happy birthday to me!!!!

      15ab333ecd43aefa55e7236b

Happy Birthday to me!! I'm officially 20!

I don't know if I should feel happy

DSC03356

or I should, "Omg!! I'm two zero liao!!"

DSC04453

Maybe just a mixture of both. I hate being old. But that's a fact already.

One year just pass like that, so fast like a rocket.

Horrible~

Last year's warmest birthday wish is from someone special, although it was just a Friendster comment. But I felt blissful enough. This year, I don't and dare not expect anything from that someone, so I guess that's all.

This year, so far, the best/most touching birthday wish of all is from Mummy, sent through MSN. Mummy made me cry again.

" Hi girl... 20 years ago, mum just 24 yeas old only.. Tomorrow you'll turn 20.. Very fast.. But mum's getting old and sick le.. Anyway, mum's very proud of you.. Wishing  you a very happy birthday tomorrow."

Thanks Mummy. *tears dropping*  Love ya <3

And Daddy said that he sent a birthday card for me, all the way from GuangZhou. Woo~ I'm so touched. Thanks Daddy. =) Love ya too <3

So I guess my birthday will just be like the other ordinary days. What do you expect? I have class test till 4pm tomorrow. *cry* Pity me.

Thoughts.of.The.Semester

It's almost the end of the semester. After the last lab test on Monday, everything is done, except for the finals.

Well, to summarize, I personally feel that this semester is not as busy as Y1S2. Maybe because of more group/short reports and less individual reports. This cuts off a lot of work loads. However, there are a lot to study and once again, it challenges my brain capacity. As I grow older, I find that my ability to memorize things decreases. Hence, I'm a bit worry. Any ways to strengthen memories??

To be frank, I am NOT satisfied with my performance this semester, as I felt that I have not tried my best. I have no idea how this could happen, but very often I am kinda moodless to study. And when it comes to report writing, I was kinda qincai  (aiyah-no-need-so-serious-attitude).  Because, on average, each report only contribute about 2.08 ++ marks. So the no-need-so-serious attitude comes in lor. It shouldn't be like that, I'm not like that previously. So what's wrong? Sigh.

And now I'm kinda worry about my CGPA/GPA for this semester. Argghh.. I know it's too early to think/worry about this. But this is me. I always worry over unnecessary stuffs. Moreover, this is something that worth to be worry about. It's useless to cry over spilt milk, so I guess I'll fight till the end for finals.

Thinking from the brighter sides, I've actually learnt a lot this semester, especially in Microbiology and PB practicals. Dealing with bacteria and DNAs are a lot of fun, although they might pose certain risk on our health. But this is not a big deal as long as we practice the right way to handle them. Other than that, I get along well with my classmates/lab groupmates etc. Every report discussing sessions are full of laughter (especially BC), because I'll never forget to add in some elements of humor.

So this is another memorable semester in UTAR. But I still find it horrible because one semester just ended like that. I should have treasure each and every moment I spent together with my coursemates and the TeFourz. Things might change dramatically after this three-months-break. Everything is uncertain! Who knows what will happen next? And I only left 3 semesters (1 1/2 years) in UTAR before I graduate. Sure very berat hati one. Although I always say "UTAR = No Choice", but you know deep inside my heart, UTAR means a lot.

Okay, I got to:

  • Finish up my reports (3 reports to be submitted on Monday)
  • Study Biochem lab test
  • Watch the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics 2008 tomorrow.

Reminiscence

           DSC04341

Art work by Appa, but what is this?? Use your imagination.

DSC04346

This should be clear enough I guess.

Apparently, it's some kind of airplane or space shuttle. But how come Air Asia leh? Hehe.. Because, "Now Everybody Can Fly"!! Lame. I know. =p

This was what we did the other day while waiting for the next lecture. We played around with paper aeroplane and all sorts of stuffs we used to do when we were young.

Sigh. Time flies. We've all grown up. I miss those good old days.

Favorite.Tutor

Since today was the very last tutorial session with Mr. Patrick, I personally requested him to take a group photo with few of us (since the others were busy and most cabut edi).

Nah~

ed

Not a very nice pic, due to the wrong camera setting and maybe also the lighting. However, it's the memories that makes it priceless.

I will seriously miss Patrick a lot. His tutorials are full of fun and laughter and is one that I've never and will never miss to attend. (unless I'm admitted to hospital lar). Laugh.

He taught us more than just Management. He always made me put on my thinking caps. Questions like, "What is time?". So simple yet so difficult. And the stories of the successful persons did inspired me a lot.

He taught me that, Failure is not the foundation to success. This is so true. =) Planning and evaluation is equally important in order to success.

Hope he'll still be a part time tutor in UTAR for the following years. So, that I'll get a chance to be taught by him again. XD

He's so far one of the best tutors of mine. Thanks thanks.

PR Event Launching

DSC04409I'm so so envy at my juniors who are taking PR as their elective. (Last time I took PR too.) The other day, they were launching their PR events at SA block as part of their coursework. This was pretty awesome. Unlike us, who just did the proposal on an event, they actually go on and plan and organize and event. This is much practical and obviously they are having a lot of fun!

I arrived quite late that day because I have a lab test. By the time I reached, the place was crowded with people as it was lucky draw sessions. I was much impressed by the juniors because the event that they organized was a great success. Besides that, they managed to get a lot of sponsors for products, magazines etc. Cool~

I actually didn't manage to have a good look around on the exhibitions partly because of the crowd and me myself was in rush. However, I managed to grab a bottle of soy drink at one of the booth. Tell you what, I love soy drink! =)

              DSC04416

Forgive the messy-ness of my hair. I just finished rope skipping, sweeping and mopping the floor. I looked like a siao-po.

Picture of the day:

              DSC04401

Spotted Han Ping doing facial at one of the booth. XD

XinFu lo.. Got leng lui help him do facial. XD XD

Juniors, 5 5 thanks your seniors. It was because of our suggestions that you guys get to launch the event. Laugh. Ms Catherine was so happy that day. XD Indeed, everyone was happy. Both the audience and the organizer. ^^ Wonderful!!!

BBQ-ed

Last Sunday we went all the way from Setapak to Sunway Cheras to visit JingJing's new house, erm some sort of house warming. I love her room. Especially the Japanese style tatami. *blink blink*

That night, we had buffet dinner plus BBQ. The most enjoyable part is still the BBQ. Haha.. Working together to get everything done, and that's fun! ^^

PICT0009

Woot~ I got hungry while posting.

DSC04311

BBQ-ed the lovely, pink in color, heart-shaped mashmellow. Yum yum. It was nice!

Her name is Pohpiah. But why Pohpiah? Ask the owner. Laugh.

DSC04321

I snapped tons of photos with her. Okay. I know I'm kinda exaggerate. But, she's so photogenic!!

DSC04320

Super cute one lor.

DSC04325

Omg. Greg, you both look alike!!

Oppss.. I mean u both are so cute. XD XD

She's so darn heavy that I can hardly move it. See. Naughty Pohpiah refused to sit properly for me to snap photo. >.<

PICT0017

Chubby~ By the way, Pohpiah you should diet dy la..

After BBQ, all of us sat in front of the TV to watch the Olympics Badminton Final -- Lin Dan vs Lee Chong Wei. But, in the end Lee Chong Wei played still lose to Lin Dan. Malaysia failed to obtain its very 1st Olympic gold medal. Sigh sigh.  Kinda mood-less after watching the match. =(

The guys were watching Premier League when someone suggested to visit the Look out Point somewhere nearby. Of course everyone agreed!

DSC04336

The view up there is awesome! Nice, calm, serene, romantic environment, make it an excellent place for Pat Tor-logy. Would like to visit this place again. XD

PICT0040

There should be some nice scenery behind but were all blocked by us. XD
