In the police station.
Photo post:
Visited aunt and granny and cousins the other day.
Cutest cousin of all, YY.
Pretty cousin, Rozene.
The brother and the sister.
The cousins: Sis, Rozene and Me!!
*winks winks*
YY escaped.
On the move. Going to the seaside.
Sunset by the seaside.
The big, fat, juicy, bar-b-qued-flavored leg of mine.
Still loving the sunset.
Met Darling Sherril unexpectedly at the end of the day. Wey, 10 years friendship not fake one loh! XD
Initially, we thought of having our favorite Fish Head Bihun @ Bayan Lepas after the tiring day, but we end up spent the whole night at the police station. Because, brother in law's SLK was knocked by a stupid Waja. Bro-In-law kinda chased that car because the driver didn't stop after he knocked us and I was so terrified when the tattoo-ed guy (the driver) came off the car. Luckily they didn't fight. But, that stupid tattoo-ed guy was not willing to admit his fault, so we end up have to make police report. PDRM is not efficient at all, we have to wait for a long time just for a stupid report. Hence, I watched Everton vs Man Utd at the police station. Argghh.. sometimes being a government servant is so not-bad, with BPL matches watch-able during working hours. *tsk tsk*

Read more...Arghhh.. I'm in big trouble I tell you. I failed my experiment, twice. *cry* The first time is because of my lousy pipetting skill, but I have got no idea why I could fail the second time. Omg Omg Omg. I wasn't scolded by Ms. N, she's too kind I suppose. But I know something will happen one day if I continue to fail fail fail my experiment. No eyes to see liao. I'm cracking my head to figure out the possibility of failure. Careless? Contamination? T____T God, please bless me so that my next experiment will be a success. I'll be very very very much thankful for that. Pleeeaaasssseee!!!!
Weekend will be very free and Monday's Deepavali which means -- Public Holiday!!! This is the only thing I'm looking forward to so far. I love holiday.
End of the rantings.
Read more...I'm busy. Very busy for the past week, even on weekends. T___T That's why I kinda left out my bloggie lately.
So, this will be an all-in-one post. In fact, it will be quite long winded. Let's start off from:
My daily life (For Weekdays)
7.30am - Crawl out from my bed (very unwillingly).
8.30am - Working (Internship).
1.00pm - Lunch break
5.00pm - Back from work (finally!!!)
5.30pm - Help mummy preparing for dinner
6.30pm - Dinner + drama + kitchen cleaning-up
8.00pm - 12.00am - Housework + Drama + Some home works + Some blogging (I suppose?)
The cycle will just go on and on until the end of internship?
My Working Life
Initially, I thought that working as a promoter would not be very suitable for me. Because I'm so passive and worst still I'm not good at persuading others. But after I started off, I found that I'm quite okay with that, the bigger problem is that I have to stand till my leg ache, backache and hand ache AND no complain is allowed! After working for four days as a promoter, I'm much more observant than before. I met lots of people with different personality, preferences as well as the way they talked and how they dressed up. A lot of pretty girls and handsome boys were seen. I especially love the cute cute kids and I was secretly observing what combination of parents will give the cutest/prettiest/handsomest child of all but till now I still don't have a conclusion. Haha. In short, the short working experience actually taught me a lot. Although I made quite a number of mistakes, luckily no big deal and I'm still alive, sitting in front of my lappie, blogging.
Surprise for Darling Jureen
The other day, I went to USM's Engineering Campus @ Nibong Tebal, together with Sherril, Shyuan, Jess and Kuak. Wow, the campus is huge, new and peaceful? XD.
The hostel.
We didn't inform the girl that we'll be there, so it was a surprise for her until she saw us outside of her hostel room. I believed that she's so touched until she NEARLY cried. Then, we had our dinner at a traditional Kopitiam. We ordered octopus, 田鸡 aka frog, stir fried kailan and crap crab porridge.
The octopus are big, fat and juicy. Yum yum ^^
Sherril and the darling Ah Kuak.
*The other group photos are still with ah dear.
TOU may have trip to KL and Malacca end of the year. Can't waaaaait!!! XD
Today's Buffet Lunch @ CDR
The center is having a buffet lunch for all the staffs sempena Hari Raya. We, the interns were invited as well. Haha. Lots of good food and we ate till we drop!!!
The staffs at the center. Most are Malays.
Some of the food (Dessert only).
Yay!! Yum Sheng for the UTAR gang. XD
While waiting for my samples to dried up, a few of us chated with the lab assistant that 'bullied' me the other day. Let's just refer him as Mr H. He told us a bit about the history of CDR. The building is actually the former medical school of USM before they shifted to the Kelantan Campus. Then, he mentioned that the room we were in at that moment was actually the room where the medical students dissect the dead bodies. A bit horror rite? Ish Ish.. Still got postgrads can stay at the center until midnight! Don't they feel horror? No way for me.
This is part of the reason that made me busy. I'm busy drama-ing.
This is the drama that I'm chasing -- Last One Standing.
Hey people, this is nice. Interesting story with lots of suspense. Story about a man who was accused for murdering his stepfather and was jailed for 10 years. 10 years later he tried to find out the truth of his stepfather's murder and discovered that the murder was done by his dear cousin. Unfortunately, he do not have any evidence to prove his innocence. Hence, he has got no choice but just to stay beside the cousin to collect the evidence of his crime.. The ending is very suspense as well. The director left the room for imagination for the audience. That's why I thought that the story haven ended yet and planned to call brother-in-law, asking him to download some more. But then Greg told me it was the end. So I was like, "HUH?!"
Okay. I need some rest. Still haven recover from sickness.
Have a nice day ahead peeps =) Love ya Muacks muacks.

Read more...Under the request of cg, I'm now blogging a bit about my intern.
So, moving on to week two of internship, I'm finally not so free anymore. Because, I have started my project this week, in precise, today. My project is actually more related to Chemistry and is not really my interest. I'm more interested to my friend's project, which is more to biology side. They even have experiments with rats. *envy*
Okay, back to my project but not too much details on that, only some pictures.
This is the small corner that I worked on my project this whole morning. Apparently it's a fume chamber lah because I'm dealing with some corrosive materials and chloroform.
These are some of the apparatus that is needed for the experiment.
Then, the samples are pipetted into this cute glass bottle.
Total of 8 samples I have prepared today. The samples are left overnight at the machine for analysis. Result will be obtained the next day. =)
I have to say that my pipetting skill is really really really very lousy. The volume are not accurate at all. My result would probably screwed up too.
I'm still so blur so blur so blur..
So, basically, it was a tired day for me. I worked in the lab alone. So lonely. The lab assistant make fool of me pulak. I asked him how to switch off the machine in Malay which sound like this, "Encik, macam mana nak tutup machine tu?" Guess what he replied me? He said, " OOO.. you pi cari satu kain besar bolehlah tutup mesin tu.."
=_______= What do you expect me to say then? Sigh. But he's a very helpful tough, just a bit naughty and playful like me. XD

I'm loving this blue blue skies. Nice weather for an island vacation. I want holidays!!!!!!!
Because of the weather and too much of Oreo, I fell sick. Fever + cough. Hope I could get well before Saturday. If not, how am I going to work?

Have a nice day =) Going to continue on my journal reading cause I'm still so blur. =S
Read more...THANKS to Marilyn for Tagging me. I'm sincere. Can you feel my heart? Wahahaha~
RULE: Each player of this game starts off with 15 weird things / habits / little known facts about you. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 15 weird habits / things / little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end, you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names. NO TAG backs!
I never like prawns but I love Har Mee aka Hokkien Mee in Penang.
I don't like fish but Laksa is my favourite! =)
I am afraid of ghost but still insist to watch horror movie.
I tends to give up easily and lack of determination most of the time.
I love to cry and easily get emo. I can be seen crying while reading novels, drama-ing, movie-ing or even when chatting (about something sad).
I hate lizards and snakes.
I have blood-phobia. I'll faint or feel uneasy when I saw red, fresh blood.
I love to kap leng lui more than leng zai. ^^ But I'll be shy when facing leng cai. *blush blush*
I am a day dreamer who like to build castle in the air. When I was young, I had a lot of funny funny dreams and ambitions. For instance, once upon a time, I dream that one day, I'll be a top model or a CEO's wife. Hahaha.
I am naughty and playful. [comment from a lecturer in Foundation]
My nickname: Banana girl, created by Ian. Until now he still call me like that.
I'm always mistaken to be a Malay. During National Service, people even thought that I'm an Indian because I was so tanned. =____=||
I don't like to travel to cities. I prefer rural areas, seas, mountains and forest.
Super poor at Maths and Physics that I'll probably fail all the subjects if I am taking Engineering courses.
I hope my future hubby to be an engineer. *winks winks*
Hiak hiak.. End of the list. However, I'm not going to tag anyone, since Marilyn has tagged almost all the people that I knew. Anyway, this is quite an interesting tag. So, why not try it out? ^^

Read more...Oh god.. I worked today. Met my supervisor and she gave me some briefing and also some small test on the basic knowledge of Yakult.
Then I start standing at the counter serving the customers and promoting Yakult. Believe it or not, I stood for almost 8 hours. My legs are not belonging to me anymore now. They belong to the god because they are dead and have gone to the heaven. =______= I still have to stand for another 9 hours tomorrow! Omg.
I got to see a lot of cute children walking around the supermarket, asking samples from me. Some of them are just so darn cute that I can't take my sight away from them. One of them has a very nice feature, with fringe and nicely tight-up hair, wearing cute dress, running here and there. Everyone hearts her so much that she got lots of food and drinks for free. =)
A Malay lady said that I look like Malay!!!!!!! How can? Where got? She said my big eyes makes me look like a Malay. *wondering* By the way, I'm PURE Chinese okay.
Earning $ is such a difficult thing. So, spend wisely. I swear I'll cut down my shopping. =) *Not applicable when there's Mega Sales! ^^
Read more...So, end of week one of training. I finally got my research topic. It's about chiral separation of amino acids via derivatization by GC-MS. Sounds complicated right? We are mainly working on gelatin, a product from the hydrolysis of collagen. One of the main usage of gelatin is as the outer layer of capsule which will dissolve in water after consumption. Lab work will commence on coming Monday, so for this whole week, I'm doing literature research in the library. This includes reading journals, searching for relevant information on the net as well as doing some references from books. I've visited the Hamzah Sendut Library of USM and it's huge with lots of books inside. But since we are 'foreign' student there, there are lots of obstacles whenever we tried to do something, even accessing the Internet. This is the only inconvenience encountered so far.
However, today I finally I get to put on the lab coat and we are having some activities in the lab. The lab assistant took us around the lab and introduced us to some machines and ways to operate them. They have very high-tech balance, not the ordinary ones that we normally saw in UTAR's lab. Remember I mentioned about the sophisticated machines that they have in the lab? One of them is this.
This is called a GC-MS machine. (GC-MS stands for Gas chromatography - Mass spectrometry)
Well, it sounds and seems difficult to be operate but I don't think it's a big problem since everything is automated. As long as everything parameters is programmed properly, the machine will carry out the procedure and the result will be displayed on the monitor for further analysis.
The pc connected to the machine.
The black color thing is the arm that automatically transfer the samples in the bottles into the machine. The machine can even rinse the syringe automatically to prevent contamination. Very advance okay!
Oh, I have got no idea how to use this.
According to the lab assistant, the machine is purchased 5 years ago but the technology is already 20 years ago. Omg. 20 years ago de technology also so advance, the latest one sure very very very advance loh. Guess how much it costs?
Property of USM
It costs RM318,000.00 ++!!

The most happy thing of all is to met Jhu Jhu in the campus.
The most unexpected thing is to met the long lost secondary schoolmate, Zwai Zwai.
The most disaster thing is to travel under the hot son.
The most boring thing is to study journals.
The most lazy thing is to wake up early.

10 more weeks to go!! ^^

Why are we treated so differently? I know they have priority but I don't expect the difference to be so huge!Stupid! Arrggghh.. I hate! Geramnya!
I have a feeling of wasting time. How am I going to continue? T____T
Sorry, this is just my ranting. Life's getting difficult.
Read more...I would like to thank god for blessing me.
Result is released today and I was in the library of USM so I didn't check for it as I am worried that I might over reacted in case of anything. But thank god. The result is satisfying, in fact much more better than what I have expected. Terima Kasih. I'll work harder next time.
Read more...Well, I find this quite interesting. It is from Mike's blog.
There are a number of us from the Bioscience courses that went to different company/organization for industrial training. I'm sure everyone will be kinda nervous on the first day of work, wondering what sorts of jobs will be assigned. So, after the first day, most of the questions that linger in our mind get answered.
So, as a friend, we should always care about our friends including how's their training going on rite? In other words it is called kay-poh-ness loh.
Below is a little survey done by Mike regarding the condition of industrial training of the heng dai and ji mui.
Dear Friend A
Tear lab results paper whole day, from 8am to 5.30pm in Penang Nam Wah Ee Hospital.
Dear Friend B
Accept blood samples the whole day at the blood reception counter in Pantai KL.
Dear Friend C
Went to research lab, prof in charge not in, went home a few hours later...
Dear Friend D
Did a condom Quality Control on his first day.
Meet suppliers and clients.
So you see, everyone of us has different fate. For your information, Dear Friend C actually refers to me. *winks*

I'm just like an unofficial student of USM. I'm currently undergoing the 3-months training in Center for Drug Research (CDR) of USM. This is actually a very good chance for me to experience the life of an local uni student. The greatest difference is the distance of walk. The campus is so huge! Walking from one corner to another under the hot sun almost killed me. This is the time where I loved FES so so much. *hearts*
This is where I will be working for the next 11 weeks. The center is sharing the same building with the school of pharmacy and the students there are nicely dressed in formal.
So, the first day, I saw no familiar faces. All the other trainees are seniors of Y2S2, most are from Biochemistry. Luckily, they are all very friendly and we get along quite well. First of all, we were briefed about the work that we need to perform during the training period. That's a lot more than what I have been expecting. According to the training coordinator whom I refer to as Dr. S, we have to do literature research before hand, handling projects and a final presentation in front of the professors and postgraduates. Omg Omg. How am I going to survive such harsh training?? Moreover, I've visited the labs and found out that what I've learnt so far may not be very helpful. Because, they are doing researches and the machines and instrument are so so complex and sophisticated, something I've never came across before. So, I guess I need to put in more efforts.
Me and another senior are assigned to Dr. N, a 'nice young man'. Hehe. I don't know if he's really nice. I only get to meet him on the second day. The first two days are kinda boring actually. No work are assigned and I was busy traveling to and froth the hostel and the campus, helping the seniors to settle their accommodation. And now, they have finally settled down. *relieved*
Isshh.. I am so lazy. Lazy to go to work everyday. Lack of motivation arr.. Sien Sien Sien.
I tried to meet up with Jhu but every time we missed out. Never mind, there'll be a chance some day. ^^
Oh ya.. I got a job as Yakult promoter, working on this and next weekends. The pay is RM65 per day. Wee Wee~
Nothing much to blog this while as I said before, life's dull and boring. Hope to travel to some nice places and capture capture nice pics. Wait till the training end first. =(
Read more...No outings for me these few days. Because we have had too much of outings and complains from the mums are all around the place. So, no more outings until I don't know when. The girls will start uni next Monday and I will start my internship too. Life's gonna be busy but dull and boring.
The girls will be having their term break on November and they have got a lot of plans such as trips to Ipoh, KL and lots more. But then, I am still attached to the 3-months internship and I can't go anywhere, can't apply for leave also. I'll miss a lot a lot of fun *Sob* =(
So, these few days I'm 天龙八部-ing. OOO.. very nice and exciting. I managed to finish 20+ episodes in 2 days since I'm not going anywhere. Haha.. But, I'm going to finish all the dramas soon, what am I going to to do after that? *scratch head*
By the way, I went for a hair cut today at a salon called Myth or 神话 in chinese. My hairstylist is a very young, quite good-looking man. *blush* He did knew a lot about hair and he might be the most talkative hairstylist I have ever known. He talked non-stop from the beginning till end.
Seems weird weird like that lor.
Actually noting much also la.. I want to keep my hair long, so I just trim the hair a little bit and cut the fringe short. Now, the hair is much more layered and silky smooth.. Wahaha.. Okay whatever.
----------------------------------------------
Freaking nervous now because the training will start soon. I have a lot of question marks in my head.
I wonder..
Argghh.. too much of uncertainties. I'll get to know the answers on Monday. God bless me.
For all the other friends, 'Happy Industrial training'!! =)
